1. What we use

This site does not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

We use localStorage in your browser to:

• Store your chat history and thread list, so it persists between visits
• Remember which thread you had open
• Remember whether you have acknowledged the medical boundary notice
• Count your recent chat turns against the free daily limit
• Hold a membership token, if you have one
• Remember whether you collapsed the chat sidebar
• Store any optional private reflection notes you type on pages such as Movements or Self-Checks

These entries are namespaced to this site with a bg_ prefix. If you used this site before 3 September 2026, entries were previously stored under a cg_ prefix shared with the family hub; they are copied across to the bg_ names automatically on your next visit and the old entries are removed, so your history carries over.

This localStorage data is not synced to our servers and is not transmitted to third parties. Separately, when you submit a chat message, the message and the conversation context needed to generate a reply are sent to OpenAI through its API; see our Privacy Policy for details.

2. How to clear localStorage

You can remove this data at any time by clearing your browser storage for back.guide. This will also clear your chat history.

3. Server logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard server logs including IP address, request timestamp, and user agent for security and performance. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
